On our August 2017 Meeting
On August 5, 2017
Sixteen members and guests attended the August meeting.
Our special guest this month was
Dr Rachel Powell, DMV she is a new associates at the Oakland Vet Hospital. Dr Powell's degree is from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in Urbana Champaing Illinois.

Dr Powell spoke about a topics that is very scary and important to all horse owners.
​
Laminitis, Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS) a.k.a. Insulin Resistance, and Pituitary Pars Intermedia Dysfunction (PPID) a.k.a. Cushing's Disease.

To start things right we enjoyed visiting with each other and we really enjoyed a delicious potluck.
